April 9, 2020
It is with heavy heart that we write to announce that, due to the changing situation with the COVID-19 crisis we have made the, extremely difficult, decision to postpone the start of our 2020 season.
We have been monitoring this situation very closely and have been working hard to ensure we set-up best practices for adhering to all Provincial Health Offices guidelines.
In lieu of yesterday’s announcement that all BC parks lands have been closed, and to ensure we continue to do our part to minimize the spread of this virus, we felt that the most responsible course of action was to postpone the start of our spring session.
This decision has been a tough one to make and it absolutely pains us to have to have make this post. We feel that providing our youth with opportunities to maintain normalcy, physical fitness and education on best practices for health and safety while out on the trails is important, now more than ever.
We have currently re-set our seasonal start date to May 19th, and will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments as necessary. If we all do our part now, we can get back to "Gripping It. And ripping It." sooner than later!
Should the situation take a turn for the BETTER and we can get back to being rad on our bikes at an earlier date, we will be sure to communicate this to all our crew.
In lieu of the school year being cancelled, we are also working on some new daily start-times of our Three2Six programs, to provide the best experience for you and your children when we are back in business.
We thank everyone for their continued support of Hilltop MTB, and hope that you are all able to enjoy some extra family time and are staying healthy.
We have been lucky to have some recent FaceTime chats with some of our regular riders and I encourage all of our crew to reach out if you need to chat or see your riding buddies' faces.
We are all in this together, so feel free to reach out if your child needs some extra motivation or some reminders on how to keep-up their skills during this time.
Once again, thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to when we can all get together for some Brappin' in the near future!
Stay Healthy,
Hilltop MTB crew
A note to Essential Services Workers:
We understand that there may be some families that have parents working out on the front lines, as part of our essential services workers – We’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all for your continued efforts! If you are part of this demographic, and you are in need of day-time care for your children please do not hesitate to reach out to us and we can work together to help cover your needs for child care, under the guidelines directed by BC's Provincial Health Offices.
